Construction Activity Continues for I-85 Widening Project
 
BRASELTON – Construction activity for the I-85 Widening project will require upcoming lane closures along the corridor in Gwinnett, Barrow, and Jackson counties.
 
Beginning Wednesday, April 15, through Thursday, April 16, construction operations at milepost (MP) 131 will necessitate a single-lane closure along I-85 southbound in Jackson County for approximately 0.4 of a mile. A single-lane closure will be in place starting Wednesday at 10 a.m. through Thursday to 4 p.m.

An additional single-lane closure will occur Saturday night, April 18, through Sunday morning, April 19, for bridge construction operations along I-85 northbound at the Mulberry River Bridge. The single-lane closure will be in place starting Saturday at 8 p.m. through Sunday at 9 a.m.

Drivers are advised to obey posted speed limits and traffic control measures inside the project limits. Additional information about the I-85 Widening project can be found at http://www.dot.ga.gov/BS/Projects/SpecialProjects/I85WideningI985SR53.
