When the COVID-19 crisis escalated, Peter and chuthis. Company Member Jenni Gordon were in Chicago, Illinois, where they were working with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and the Hubbard Street Professional Program (HSPro.) After their first week together, it became clear that everyone would need to go home. Under the guidance of HSPro Director Alexandra Wells, Peter and Jenni quickly created a remote learning plan for the HSPro dancers, which they enacted over the next two weeks. The video above (edited by Lauren Berthelot) is the result of this beautiful process.

We recently shared the above video on our social media, and wanted to ensure that our entire community had the opportunity to see it! In 2018, Peter worked with the Juilliard Dance Class of 2020 to create this work Play Well with Others, in collaboration with musicians from the Juilliard Jazz Division.

Here's what Peter had to say about this special process: 

"In December of 2018, I was reminded of the beauty a collaborative process has to offer. This communal experience celebrated the joy of moving and working together! Witnessing these generous artists embody the work has left a pulse that continues to keep my soul grooving to this day. Movement and music not only provokes thought but also guides humans through difficult times."
