PANDEMIC & MISSIONS
-a word from the editor, Anita Barngrover
As the world adjusts to life with the COVID-19, we all are experiencing change and uncertainty  in our daily lives.  Yet one thing remains unchanged.

Hebrews 13:8 ESV  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Now is the time for Christians to trust our God.
Cities in India & Nepal are experiencing the same restrictions we all have here in America.  The mandatory lockdown ordered for the country of India has even reached the remote mission fields where NBGMI church planters are located.  Dr. Lianzaw has instructed the church planters in the field to obey the lockdown orders so that NBGMI team members are not blamed and called law breakers. The work of our missionaries has been slowed, resulting in a much needed time of rest.  Praise God!!  They depend on our help to continue spreading the saving Gospel Message to the lost.

ODISHA
The remote locations of the NBGMI ministry fields in this state are very remote.  The Kutia people who live in mountains of this rugged region have largely been ignored by the government.  There is only one road into the region and it was put in recently.  The many children in the small villages in this region of the state had no education opportunities until NBGMI placed church planters among the Kutia people here.  All the Kutia people worshipped a rock and believed in evil spirits who would harm them unless a "priest" prayed them away - for a fee.
Life has improved for Kutia people where the Gospel message has arrived through NBGMI church planters.  Thanks to your Prayers and Donations
The Kutia people are hungry for the Gospel.  So our church planters have spent much of their time sharing Bible truths and building up new believers into the Christian life.  News of the COVID-19 and the ordered lockdown finally made it to this remote region.  NBGMI team members continue to share the Gospel daily in addition to holding very small prayer and Bible study meetings in the different villages until April.   Please continue to Pray & Donate so the Word of God reaches more lost souls among the Kutia people group. Photos below are from the first few days of April.
RAJASTHAN
This state is on the far western border of the country of India.  Pakistan is on the other side of the border.  This state is where many radical Hindus are located and well organized against Christianity.  The pandemic has slowed the activities of all the people here.
NBGMI church planter, Yunus and his wife, Anita, were actively sharing the Gospel in their village.   See photos below - first row.
NBGMI church planter, Nikku and his wife Sapna, continue to share the Gospel when they can outside the city of Sardarsar near the believer's house where they live.  See photos below.  However it is not possible for them to make the daily visits to the many baptized believers they disciple in the city slums.  Please Pray and Donate so the Gospel message can continue to spread in this area now and after the lockdown.
Dr. Lianzaw Trusts God!
Dr. Lianzaw and his wife Moi were forced to move just before the COVID-19 lockdown.  The apartment building where they have lived for many years was sold and they had to leave immediately. God led them to another place and they just got into it when they were ordered to Lockdown.  Although they did not like changing their residence, God has blessed them with a lower rent price.  Due to the lockdown, they do not have some needed services set up.  For example, they have no internet service yet.
In India, if residents do not comply with lockdown orders, there are serious repercussions, arrests, beatings, or worse.  Despite the hardships they face, ministry continues.  Dr. Lianzaw continues to follow God's directive to take the Gospel message to remote areas of India where the name of Jesus is not spoken.
Will you trust God and continue to Pray and Donate for continuing this ministry?
New Church Planters Join NBGMI Team
Dr. Lianzaw and his wife Moi welcomed two new NBGMI Team additions at their home in New Delhi before the very strict lockdown began there.  The first is Mr. Kamal and his wife Preety.  After the national  lockdown  they will move to the village in Rajasthan where Kuldeep & Neelam have been serving.

Mr. Sataya Prakash will begin a new mission field near a city in Haryana State.

Please pray for these and all the NBGMI Team as they continue to spread the Good News of Salvation through Jesus Christ.

-from Pastor Ben Polson,
As you have read [in the March NBGMI newsletter], we [the team from North Pointe Baptist] were blessed to see with our own eyes the amazing work that God is doing through New Beginning Gospel Ministry International in India!  I am humbled that I got to preach to hundreds that had never heard the Gospel before.  As I prepared and as I now reflect I trust that the Holy Spirit is working as only He can to open people’s eyes to His truth.  It was incredible to hear that for only $350 a month, a new team can go to where the Gospel has no foothold and indeed where it may never have been preached. God has impressed on me that I am to use the influence I have to guide more people to support this important ministry.  Would you consider a new monthly donation to send even more teams to the field?  Do you want to go yourself to see what He is doing?  I would be glad to talk to you about opportunities to do both.

NEPAL
Two NBMI church planters and their wives are serving people who live in the Himalayan Mountains in the northwest part of this country.  There is not much government  regulation in these high regions of the country.  Jeevan with his wife, Manisha &  Puniram with his wife, Indrawati, have been able to continue their one-on-one evangelism visits and have notified Dr. Lianzaw there are ten more new believers wanting to take baptism.  Praise God!  Please continue to Pray and Donate so the Gospel Message will continue to spread through this part of the Himalayan Mountains.  Photos below show some of the challenges with the terrain for these soldiers of the cross.
