Tell us about your experience with your waka ama club

Waka Ama New Zealand, in collaboration with Sport New Zealand, is undertaking important research that aims to understand your waka ama experience over this summer.

Everyone's lives have changed because of COVID-19 and we hope you and your whānau are coping well in these challenging times. During this period, Nielsen is continuing to carry out surveys that help organisations, like Waka Ama NZ, to better meet your needs now and in the future.

This is the third time Waka Ama NZ have undertaken this survey known as "Voice of the Participant". The information we received previously provided Waka Ama NZ and clubs with valuable information that we are using to improve the experience of paddlers.

We encourage you to take part in this survey. It will only take about 10 minutes of your time and will help identify how Waka Ama NZ can help improve your paddling/waka ama experience.

It is really important that we give all paddlers the opportunity to complete the survey, as the results will provide guidance to us on how Waka Ama NZ can help clubs improve the experience of their paddlers.

If you are a parent/guardian answering on behalf of a paddler under the age of 16, you will find near the beginning of the survey questions to clarify this and you will then be directed to the correct version of the survey.
 
Please note, this survey has been designed as a cross-sport research programme to enable benchmarking across all clubs and sporting organisations, therefore, some of the terminology may not be directly applicable to your sport.
 
Nielsen, an independent research company, is carrying out this confidential survey on behalf of Waka Ama New Zealand and Sport New Zealand. In this instance, your email address has been provided to Nielsen to conduct this research project only. Nielsen adheres strictly to defined market research practices to preserve anonymity and confidentiality of information. The results will not be reported in a way that will allow you to be individually identified.
