Carlos & Jessica Garcia Following God’s Call
Teen Challenge Prayer Mountain Academy
 
Our own Carlos and Jessica have been blessed with a new calling to serve in God’s work of redeeming and empowering young men to yield their lives to Christ and pursue God and his kingdom in Georgia. Specifically, Carlos will be teaching the fundamental basics of Christianity and sharing the Word of God at chapels for these young men.
 
Teen Challenge’s Prayer Mountain Academy is a year-round boarding school that creates life transformation in boys ages 13-17 who are struggling with life-limiting behaviors or circumstances like: rebellion, academic failure, and careless attitudes. Their vision is to have every boy reach his God-given potential become prepared for a productive and fulfilling life.
 
They have shared how Union Church has been a faith home to them in Los Angeles, and we are sending them to Georgia with our prayers, financial support, and love.

Easter Gift to URM
 
Every Easter Sunday, our children’s ministry plans an Egg Hunt and puts together baskets full of goodies. While we were not able to host our Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Cynthia Castro, head of our children's ministry, gathered toys, candies, and more candies to create 18 Easter Baskets. On Good Friday, as a gift from Union Church, Cynthia and Anna donated the Easter Baskets to the Union Rescue Mission to be given to the children currently staying in their facilities. We hope they were blessed and reminded of God's love on Easter Sunday.
