Working together for safety, self care and support
Thanks to Carole (local resident) for designing and sharing the above logo.

Hello <<First Name>>

Hope you are all keeping safe & following Government guidelines to protect each other at the present time. It's so very important that we are looking after ourselves and observing self -care. It’s vital that we try to stay connected. We will be holding weekly coffee mornings via zoom from next week (see details below) Hope to see you there!
Another lovely drawing from our colleague Milena, a perfect way to keep your mind healthy.
Use cupboard to plant - herbs and spices that can be grown from your spice rack!
With the sunshine warming our windowsills, and a lot of free time on our hands, there is still plenty to do for those who want to try their hand at gardening. Never mind garden centres being shut- there are seeds ready to germinate right in your kitchen cupboard! Clean, empty yoghurt pots and egg boxes are perfect for just that purpose- just place some compost in, sprinkle the seeds, cover with another thin layer of compost and keep moist on a sunny windowsill. In 7-10 days you should see seedlings sprouting. Happy gardening and good luck!
The King Lear Prizes
The King Lear Prizes are new national literary and creative arts prizes for people  over 70 who are having to stay at home because of Coronavirus. This new initiative has been launched to encourage ordinary people, who have never been published before and are not professional writers, musicians or artists, to create new works of literature, poetry, music and art during the time they are quarantined.
