As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disrupt business as usual for so many, the Capitol Hill BID remains committed to proving our services that are essential to maintaining the safety, beauty, and sanitation of our community, seven days a week.
All of our team members have been provided essential safety equipment including disposable gloves, hand sanitizers and custom made reusable masks to ensure their safety while they perform their duties. Everyone’s temperature is taken with a forehead thermometer upon arriving at work and they’ve also been guaranteed paid sick leave to ensure no one comes to work who’s not feeling 100%.
Keeping Capitol Hill maintained during the slowdown in activity will help enable a speedy economic recovery when businesses are given the green light (or yellow) to resume. That’s our commitment to you, our members!
Capitol Hill Neighborhood is excited to welcome Call Your Mother Deli to the community! Despite the challenging times, this well loved wood-fired bagel deli has opened it's doors to their second location on Barracks Row TODAY and is ready to take your order!
The deli will be open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday through Sunday. Place your order online the day before by 2pm for safe pickup.
With so many businesses in Capitol Hill impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Eastern Market Main Street (EMMS) has established an Emergency Small Business Support Grant program.
This emergency assistance will provide interim relief and proceeds that can be used by small businesses in Eastern Market corridor to pay operating expenses including payroll, insurance, suppliers, rent, fixed debt payments and other mission critical operating costs.
If you are looking for another way to support our community, this is a wonderful opportunity!
