The Latest from Kinnected

Greetings friends near and far! Kinnected has greatly evolved since our last newsletter. We’d like to thank you all for following our progress, and give a quick update. We have some new features that you can use right now, and in a few weeks, we'll be launching some of our core functionality.

Exciting news!

Members can now sign in and create their profile, which is the first feature in their personal dashboard of self-health tools. We've also just introduced Member Search, and Privacy Settings.

You can customize your member profile from our art library, and tell the Kinnected community a little bit about your health. What do you need? How can you help? What’s your story? These are the questions we’ll ask you to think about.

More Exciting New Features and What's Next:

Search and Privacy Settings are here!
When you build your profile, and search, you'll be able to see any other Kinnected members who’ve experienced the same or similar health conditions, and read about their experiences.

Privacy Settings
All current profiles have privacy switched on by default. You can adjust your privacy settings - the eye icon on your member card - so that you'll appear in searches, and others can see profile.

Bookmarks
Soon you'll be able to bookmark other members for when our next exciting feature launches....

Where We're Going Next!
In our next release, Kinnected members will be able to invite one another to a one-on-one conversation. You'll be able to share their experiences, ask questions, and develop new solutions to try, which can be added to the community solutions library. For information about this, read our Community Guidelines.

Our News Page is now up and running. New developments will be reflected there on a regular basis.

Our Newest Team Members

Natalie Tasman

We’re happy to welcome a new developer to our team! Most recently, Natalie was extremely honored to take part in data management for the global HIV/AIDS clinical vaccine research networks as a part of SCHARP at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Dwayne Linde

As our Senior Software QA Tester, Dwayne’s goal is to find the issues and bugs before you do, as well as ensuring that everyone has a smooth and pleasant experience using the site. His interest in working with a medical/wellness community site comes from developing the rare hereditary disease Spastic Paraparesis in adulthood.

Join us for a virtual birthday celebration!

Today, April 16th, marks another milestone for kinnected:
It's the 50th birthday of founder, Megan Haas.

Megan is grateful for her healthy 7 year-old daughter, the ever-growing Kinnected Community, and work that inspires her every day.

Heartwarming markers this year included an inspiring meeting at the European Commission in Brussels, presenting Kinnected for Politico, in Amsterdam, and publishing her thoughts about humane technology.

Megan's birthday wish: Let's raise the roof on the Kinnected and build a brand new, healthy community and culture!  Please take a moment to build your profile or to share the Birthday card below with any interested party!

Asking for Help and Giving Help Has Never Been So Easy

Kinnected is entirely self-funded, and we are thankful for any donations. In the coming weeks your dashboard will keep evolving, giving you tools that support both your personal health and the health of the global community.

You can also support Kinnected by recommending our Global Directory to your favorite health professional. As our practitioner community grows, it will work to keep the site funded.

Can you give $5 or more to help Kinnected realize its full potential?
