Finding Opportunities

In Orlando, I've just started week 7 of quarantine.  I'm starting to establish new rituals and get more comfortable with the constraints of this new reality. I've found the biggest challenge for me is making time to be creative and feeling productive about it. I've done a lot of "short-burst" paintings for an hour or so, but nothing like the day-long painting sessions I would do a few months ago. I know there is a variety of factors going on, but what I've decided to do is this- focus on what I can do. If an hour of painting a few times a week is my max productivity right now, what can I do in that time to make the most of it. This is one of the reasons I've been doing Powers Paints! on Tuesdays. It gives me something to look forward to. My final session will be this Tuesday at 6pm PT/9pm ET streaming live from my Facebook account. I'm toying with the idea of putting some instructional content up on Youtube. We shall see!

Work in Progress

I've been working on this little painting and I'm still pondering the name for it, so for now, let's just call it "Little Floating Orbs" painting :). It's a happy painting expressing joyous feels connecting with another person. Making little improvements every few days helps remind me that we are all a work in progress and to see each day as a time to grow.
