On Wednesday 25th March Elizabeth Gormley’s family bicycle, a distinctive three-person tandem, was stolen from outside her Dublin home. Elizabeth has kindly shared her story with us so that others might learn from - and hopefully avoid - their experience.

E-Bike Share Company Providing Fleet to Healthcare Workers
Before its official launch, originally set for late spring, MOBY, a Dublin-based electric-bike sharing company, is offering its entire fleet for free to healthcare workers in Dublin. Many of them are already availing of these bikes to get to and from hospitals. As a small start-up company, MOBY needs help covering external running costs such as fuel and insurance as well as costs of mechanics, and delivery staff so they have set up a funding page collecting donations, so that they can provide more bikes and for longer.

Dublin Cycling Campaign takes High Court action against An Bord Pleanála

Dublin Cycling Campaign has been given permission by the High Court to bring a case against the national planning body An Bord Pleanála.

The case is about An Bord Pleanála granting permission for the ‘Connolly Quarter’ development to the rear of Connolly Station.

Post-COVID-19 - The Politics of Space
COVID-19 has resulted in illness, bereavement, anxiety, unemployment, and economic hardship. Naturally, everyone is focused on getting through and flattening the curve, but there is talk too about how our society will have changed when it is all over.

Authorities worldwide have responded to the marked reduction in motor traffic and increase in the numbers walking and cycling by re-purposing space for active travel. In this article on Cyclist.ie, we outline some of the measures taken and ask can they be made permanent?
