The Innovation Agency is supporting calls to businesses across our region to help in the fight against COVID-19.
Calls for donations of PPE and other vital supplies and services to the NHS are being coordinated in Cheshire, Lancashire and South Cumbria, and Liverpool City Region.

Business-led innovation in response to global disruption
£20m from Innovate UK to fast track innovations for projects that will bring benefits for society or an industry severely impacted and/or permanently disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Up to £50,000 awards available with potential for follow on funding and support for those with the most potential for impact. Competition closes Friday 17 April.

NIHR High Priority COVID-19 Urgent Public Health Research applications
Companies seeing necessary clinical and epidemiological evidence to enable new diagnostic tests, treatments and vaccines to be developed and tested for COVID-19 should apply. NIHR is prioritising and co-ordinating these studies to maximise recruitment and minimise over-commitment of resource.

Proposals are invited for short-term projects addressing and mitigating the health, social, economic, cultural and environmental impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak. No closing date – apply at any time.

DASA: COVID-19 Rapid Sanitising Technology
The Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) has launched a call to identify, develop and demonstrate rapid sanitising technologies for rapid deployment to clean ambulances and other public sector vehicles. Systems which are mobile, allow ease of operation and maintenance, are robust and reliable are of particular interest. Products which are already on the market will not be considered.

Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS): Expanded features and eligibility criteria
Financial support is available to smaller businesses that are losing revenue and seeing cash flow disrupted as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Inovus joins fight against Covid 19
A St Helens company have converted their manufacturing lines to produce face visors and parts for ventilators.
Inovus Medical, which has previously been supported by the Innovation Agency, is now supplying thousands of visors to front line care givers across the UK and has doubled its workforce to deal with demand.
