As Easter approaches we reflect on the last 2 weeks of lockdown and all of the challenges we have had to face.  We would like to recognise the generosity and kindness we have experienced and has been shown across the properties that we look after.  Both owners and tenants have shown exceptional understanding and honesty and we thank all of you for your efforts and the community spirit and support you have expressed.

The team here at Charta would like to reassure you that we will be available over Easter weekend to sort out any difficulties or problems and we are doing what we can to keep giving you the best service possible.

PM's Update
The Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern will be making an announcement on the 20th of April, notifying us whether or not we will stay at level 4. We will keep you up to date with information at the time.

NON-RESIDENT INFO & SUPPORT

The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) have been great, supplying us with simple and easy to understand handouts about tenancy issues.  We have made many of these available in the news section of our website  https://charta.co.nz/news/?q=&type=news 

The MSD are only able to assist NZ Residents and Citizens and have given us some information for non-residents.  If you would like it direct from the source here's a link to their website: http://msd.govt.nz/about-msd-and-our-work/newsroom/2020/covid-19/

Today they released a special information document to assist non-residents helping with everything from temporary accomodation and health issues to, where to go to get essential items like food, water, clothing etc.

They recommend that you/they call Auckland Civil Defence (CDEM) who have kindly agreed to serve non-residents in this unprecedented time.
