2020 OPEN DAY
St Paul's grew further links with our community by inviting them in to learn more about our school and what it offers at our March 5th Open Day. At morning and afternoon Open Day sessions boys and their families assembled in Chapel to hear more about our school before being taken on tours of the school by senior students.

LION SAILING TRIP
A group of St Paul's students got to exercise their leadership skills, commitment and courage in a unique environment during a three-day trip aboard Lion New Zealand in late February.

St Paul's English teacher, Amy Stevens, who accompanied our men along with Board member Bruce Smith, said many of them had never encountered a yacht of this size before, yet they enthusiastically seized the opportunity to take up new experiences including steering the boat and working the grinders.

Thank you to the NZ Sailing Trust.

OUR POLYFEST GROUPS PERFORM TO EACH OTHER
The huge amount of work and practice put in by St Paul's Polyfest groups was able to still have a performance outlet after the 2020 Polyfest competition was cancelled. In March St Paul's Samoan Group and Tongan Group performed the impressive routines they had been preparing to one another.

We congratulate these students' devotion and thank the members of St Paul's community who tirelessly assisted them.

Term 1 Music Highlights
Another positive year in St Paul's Music programme is well underway, with a continuing emphasis on commitment to attending rehearsals and regular at-home instrumental practice. The fact all our Year 7 and 8's are required to play a musical instrument provides a strong foundation to our music programme.

Term 1 Sporting Highlights
St Paul’s competed in Auckland’s premier touch grade for the first time in 2020, after winning their way to promotion in 2019. They came fifth in the competition and the wealth of junior talent coming through in younger years offers much promise in years to come.

Our junior students continue to benefit from regular sport exchanges playing a range of sports against other Auckland schools.
