WASHINGTON DEPOT, CT - April 9th, 2020 Join Slooh's Director of Education, Russ Glenn, for an astronomy lesson livestream on Thursday, April 9th, 2020 at 10 AM EDT ¦ 14:00UTC. Slooh’s live lesson will be educational, inspiring and soothing. It will include live views of the Sun from Slooh's highly specialized Solar Telescope, located at its flagship observatory at the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands. During the program, students will learn how to explore space by following in the footsteps of famous astronomers to make their own personal discoveries using Slooh’s Quest curriculum. Russ Glenn said: "We will be exploring the most important star of all today - the Sun - as we walk through Slooh's new 'The Sun - Our Local Star' quest. Using Slooh's Solar Telescope, perched on top of an 8,000ft high volcano, we will literally be looking at the Sun in a whole new light (H-Alpha light)!" The free, live astronomy lesson will be streamed via YouTube, Twitter and Facebook, as well as from any websites that want to embed the live YouTube video as per the instructions below. Students will be able to ask questions on Slooh’s website (membership required).
