News from the Chamber
Good Morning,

48.1% of Williamstown residents have NOT responded to the 2020census, please take the time to respond. It's vital for our county to maintain access to federal resources in the next decade.  It only takes a few minutes.

As the Town's Department of Public Works looks ahead in it's pavement management program, milling and paving of Spring Street as well as Bank Street and portions of Latham Street is coming due in the next year or two.  Given the reduced activity on these streets currently, the Town is advancing this work to begin on Monday, April 13. The first day will be milling the pavement and should be completed in a day. Subsequently, the Town will be raising all of the drainage structures and then paving will follow. Paving should be completed in one day as well, with timing depending on weather.  This work will NOT impede traffic, Spring Street will remain open.

The IRS has extended the tax deadline to July 15th. Personal and business income taxes that were due on April 15 can now be filed any time before July 15, 2020. The extended deadline applies to payments due as well.

Northern Berkshire Community Coalition is partnering with local restaurants to get meals to families that are unable to access food on the weekends.  For more information on participation, both families and restaurants, please call nbCC at 413-663-7588.  This program is free of charge, as nbCC will be using the funds we were awarded to compensate both the restaurant and the delivery driver for their service.

Are you sewing cloth face covers?  If so, you can drop them off in the red box on our front porch (84 Spring Street) and the Williamstown Community Chest will deliver them to Berkshire Mutual Aid for distribution.

Keep in touch!!!  Now more than ever.  We want to share what you are doing.

Stay Well,

Susan Briggs

The line is staffed from 9 AM – 5 PM, seven days a week. Staff will coordinate across state agencies to help callers find answers to their questions.
