Tales From the Loop Board Game and Other News From Free League

Retailer Newsletter, April 2020
Hello!

This is the April issue of the monthly retailer newsletter from Free League Publishing.

These are hard times for all, not for least retailers in the tabletop games industry. I had the pleasure of meeting many of you at GAMA in Reno, and I want to personally extend our best wishes to all of you. I hope to get the chance to meet you again at future conventions when things return to some kind of normalcy.

Looking to the post-Corona future, we also have plans for an extensive organized play program, and we're very open to other ways to work with you. Feel free to let us know what you would like from us, and we'll try to make it happen.

Here at Free League, work continues on all fronts, albeit we are all working from home these days. We have several upcoming products for the ALIEN RPG and other games that I will get back to in a few weeks. Today, I'd like to focus on Tales From the Loop - The Board Game, now at Kickstarter. We have a special pledge available for retailers, making it possible to order this game directly from us, at approximately 50% discount.

Tales From the Loop - The Board Game will have a retail release in Q2 of next year, and the MSRP of this game is expected to be 80 USD. You can find the current Kickstarter here.
In Tales From the Loop – The Boardgame, 1-5 players take the roles of teenagers who investigate the mysteries originating from the Loop, a huge underground science facility with strange effects on the suburban landscapes around it – just make sure you’re home in time for dinner! The game is designed by Martin Takaichi and includes high-quality miniatures by Paolo Parente's Dust Studio.

Simon Stålenhag is the internationally lauded artist and author of Tales From the Loop and Things From the Flood, narrative art books published by Free League that stunned the world with a vision of an alternate Scandinavia in the 1980s and ‘90s, where technology invaded tranquil landscapes to form an entirely new universe of the eerie and the nostalgic.

In 2017, we published a tabletop roleplaying game based on Tales From the Loop, which was a smash hit and went on to win five Gold ENnie Awards, including Best Game and Product of the Year. A tv series adaptation of Tales From the Loop was launched just over a week ago on Amazon Prime Video.
Full product information for all of our games, including MSRPs, packshots and product information texts, are available via Impressions. You will find our entire back catalogue in the Impressions' Master Client List, available here.

If you have any questions about our games or anything else, don't hesitate to reach out to us directly – just reply to this email – and we will help out in any way we can.

Yours,

/Tomas Härenstam and the Free League team
