FRIENDS OF FEEF TEACHER/STAFF NEWSLETTER                                                      April 2020
There aren't enough words to tell you how grateful and how much we appreciate all of you and your dedication to our students as we navigate this new normal way of life. Thank you for your hard work and the love you continue to pour into our students (and parents). 
2nd & 3rd Classroom Grants - Over $6,277 Awarded

Fairhope Intermediate School 
$126.51 - STEAM classroom supplies provided to 6th grade class for them to complete multiple STEAM projects. Grant submitted by Cara Dube.

$232.26 - Picture Math Program provided to special education students. This program makes concepts come to life and helps non readers and struggling learners develop basic math skills. Grant submitted by Brittany Luckie.

$1,200 - Twelve Ozobot Evo Robots for 4th grade. These ozobots support computer science standards and give students the opportunity to practice coding across all subjects. Grant submitted by Tyler Dutton.
$395 - LEGO wall for 4th grade students to implement the Engineering Design Process through architectural design. Grant submitted by Betsey Jennings

$509.67 - New STEAM subject books for the library to expand the collection to include primary grades to accommodate the school expansion in the 2020-2021 year. Grant submitted by Gloria Lucas.

$2,394.55 - Five LEGO Education WeDo Sets and Four LEGO SPIKE robotics sets for 6th grade. These kits encourage student-led critical problem solving skills as they create and build a wide variety of STEAM activities. Grant submitted by Tiffany Mulback.
Fairhope Middle School 
$340 - Provided remaining funding for LEGO Mindstorms Robotics Kits. These allow students to use technology to assist with academic tasks. It also increases the opportunity for a traditional students to interact with special students in a meaningful way that builds social skills and cooperation. Grant submitted by JoAnn Beuthe.
 
J. Larry Newton 
$1,080 - Math Machines for 2nd and 3rd grade students. These machines allow students to retain math facts and builds a culture of collaboration and teamwork, while allowing teachers a way to monitor and assess fact fluency. Grant submitted by Laura Ruth Hunter.
Student Club Grants - $781 Awarded

Fairhope Intermediate School 
$200 - This club grant supplies the watercolor club with much needed paints and tools to complete their projects. Grant submitted by Beth Kirtland.
 
Fairhope Middle School 
$581 - Provided the scholars bowl team with a new buzzer system to use. Grant submitted by Karen Bartl.

NEWS FROM FEEF
SUMMER CAMPS POSTPONED
At this time all FEEF Summer Camps are POSTPONED. FEEF is working to find alternate locations that we may be able to utilize for camps and will make everyone aware of those changes when they become available. 
FEEF GOLF TOURNAMENT POSTPONED
FEEF's Spring Fundraiser the 32nd Annual Mayor's Golf Tournament has been postponed and will be re-scheduled for a later date.
