GEAR UP Jefferson County is HERE for YOU!

COVID-19 has created unprecedented times for all of us personally and professionally. Not only have we all had to adjust to a temporary unfamiliar norm but we have also had to educate our students in new ways. GEAR UP Jefferson County wants all of our schools to know that we are willing to help in any way possible. Please reach out to us if your school needs resources as we explore ways to continue services for our students.

Spring 2020 off to a GREAT start!

GEAR UP Jefferson County has partnered with Texas Instruments to provide ongoing professional development for some of our teachers and class sets of innovative technology that go beyond simple calculations!

MEET OUR NEW STAFF

Jacques Watkins, Area Facilitator

Mrs. Watkins is a fantastic addition to our GEAR UP Jefferson County team and brings valuable experience with higher education to assist our students. She currently serves Hueytown and Midfield schools.

Shay Traywick, Area Facilitator

Mrs. Traywick comes from a K-12 background and is excited to be working with the GEAR UP Jefferson County team and the students in our cohort. She currently serves Bessemer, Fairfield and Pleasant Grove schools.
