Beginning Sunday morning you will be able to view Saint Patrick’s Easter Service on YouTube. It will be our Feast of the Resurrection. This is a Holy Eucharist Service that we will be celebrating together, the liturgy, the work of the people.
So, we will be celebrating Holy Communion. This will be a valid and complete Sacrament. If you attend this service from your home, view the service, listen and respond to the liturgy, pray and celebrate with the celebrant and others in this worship service, contemplate the meaning of what we do and say, the sacrament is valid and complete for us together.
We will praise and thank God. We will hear the good news and pray for others and the world. We will be present at the altar, receiving the grace of God. That is, God’s gifts of acceptance into the family, forgiveness, eternal life, and future resurrection. As you receive and accept these gifts and offer your own sacrifices, your confession and penitence, and your offering of self, all that you are, for Christ’s ministry, for the sake of the world, then you will be receiving the bread and wine that are the Body and Blood of Christ our Lord.
Happy Easter!

From sacredordinarydays.com:
Good Friday is a day of fasting in which we observe the crucifixion of Jesus. He who hung the earth upon the waters: today he is hung upon the cross (from Common Prayer; A Liturgy for Ordinary Radicals.)
Practices to observe:
-Observe a period of silent contemplation
-Step into the shoes of the disciples, who did not know Jesus
would rise form the dead, and imagine your world without the
resurrection.
Today, we remember the passion of Jesus, culminating in his crucifixion. Three crosses sit upon the barren hill of Calvary, surrounded by a crown of thorns. The Hebrew is Eli Eli lama azabtani, Jesus’ lament “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” We mourn Jesus’ willing sacrifice, the beatings, mockery, and betrayal he suffered and grieve over our guilt and complicity in them.
What wondrous love is this,
O my soul, O m soul!
What wondrous love is this
that caused the Lords of bliss
to hear the dreadful curse
for my soul, for my soul,
to bear the dreadful curse for my soul!
(from “What wondrous love is this,” S. Mead’s A General Selection, 1811; American folk hymn, ca. 1835, Public Domain)

Creating a Sacred Space at home for your Holy Week Worship is a great spiritual practice. You might spend Monday through Wednesday putting this special place in order.
God says he will be with us wherever we go. Some of Bishop Megan’s suggestions for creating this sacred space:
-Create your sacred space on a table or shelf.
-Add a cloth.
-A Bible
-A Cross
-Bowl of Water
-Candle
You might also have a Book of Common Prayer. You can spend time there with your Prayer Book, other favorite devotional material, or sitting in Contemplative Prayer.
Meditate with Laurie’s presentation of the Easter Season in picture and word, through art. This is simple and beautiful! A really special and uplifting gift. Don’t miss it!
The Spirit of God will speak to us as we feed on God’s Word in this sacred space.

Updated April 9, 2020 7:00 pm
Bishop Megan Traquair
Almighty God, we pray you graciously to behold this your
family, for whom our Lord Jesus Christ was willing to be
betrayed, and given into the hands of sinners, and to suffer
death upon the cross; who now lives and reigns with you and
the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
