New Video: Because That's What Families Do
To remind consumers that dairy farmers continue to work hard to produce safe, nutritious milk during these challenging times, ADA Mideast created a short video “Because That’s What Families Do.”

The video will be heavily promoted via social media and internet advertising for two weeks beginning April 13 and is expected to deliver more than 2.8 million impressions to Ohio and West Virginia families.

Using third-party data, ADA Mideast can strategically target online users by geography, gender, age, household income, occupation, online behaviors and interests which places the video across websites and social media platforms the target audience is browsing.

In addition, the video will also be placed on news sites in Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland and Dayton to further saturate these larger geographic areas.

Social Media Strategy Meets Consumer Needs
Recognizing people are online more than ever before (due to stay-at-home orders), ADA Mideast has shifted its social media strategy to be helpful during this time of uncertainty and provide resources to enhance virtual learning and entertain families.

Social media posts feature simple dairy-friendly recipes, like this whipped coffee, tips for baking and food storage, and information about dairy’s nutrition benefits. Other posts share activities for families, highlight dairy farm videos and reassure consumers that there are plenty of milk and dairy foods available to nourish their families.

Checkoff is Working For You
Your dairy promotion checkoff program is continuing to work hard to protect the interests of dairy farmers. In a recent letter to USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue, Dairy Management Inc. outlines the strategies that dairy checkoff is executing across the U.S. to help dairy farmers during this time of crisis.

In addition, DMI CEO Tom Gallagher shares seven ways the checkoff program — nationally and locally — is maintaining its mission of building sales and trust for U.S. dairy farmers, as well as helping those in need, during these challenging times.
