This month we explore what kinds of health issues rural communities are facing according to Climate Crowd reports, and projects we have undertaken to improve human health and well-being.
While water access and food insecurity are frequently mentioned throughout Climate Crowd reports, we used keyword searches to identify other health issues that arise. The size of each box corresponds to the number of reports in which each health issue was mentioned (out of a total of 1786 reports).
We have worked with partners around the world to develop, fund and implement projects that increase food security, provide clean water, and address other health concerns. Explore the various projects by clicking on the pictures below.
Climate Crowd is a crowdsourcing initiative that convenes and supports a network of partners to gather data on how climate change is impacting people and nature, and supports on-the-ground projects that help rural communities adapt while reducing pressure on biodiversity.
