I've taken a long hiatus from blogging due to some big editing projects and a writing project of my own. But the strange Easter of 2020, with the Covid 19 virus upending our lives and the threat of severe storms from the Gulf Coast to the Ohio Valley (and maybe beyond; they keep expanding the affected areas) reminded me of a column I wrote in 2005 about a terrible Easter Day near Wellsburg. The link is below.

Let me also pay tribute here to one of my inspirations, singer/songwriter John Prine, who succumbed to the virus a few days ago. I often found encouragement, motivation and stimulation listening to the imagery, sly humor and frequently unusual topics of his songs that were as unique as his raspy voice.

I hope to have time to do more blogging in the near future.

Stay healthy, my friends.
