[PR] Coronavirus Data for August 2, 2020

By The Advoc8te on Aug 03, 2020 11:40 am
BREAKINGNEWS.gif

Monday, August 3, 2020

(Washington, DC) - The District’s reported data for Sunday, August 2, 2020 includes 39 new positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, bringing the District’s overall positive case total to 12,313.

The District reported no additional COVID-19 related deaths.

Tragically, 586 District residents have lost their lives due to COVID-19.

Visit coronavirus.dc.gov/data for interactive data dashboards or to download COVID-19 data.

The community spread chart is subject to fluctuation because the data is based on symptom onset date. As national demand for testing increases and results take longer to come back in DC and across the country, DC Health has identified a need to increase the reporting lag time by four days to reduce volatility in the data. The most recent data reflects an increase in community spread. To ensure this graph accurately reflects the most recent data, the community spread count is being paused as these adjustments are made.

Nigel

Nigel

Hello! I'm Nigel! I'm a fairly quiet and shy bird who enjoys hanging out with my bestie Woodstock. I tend to be quieter compared to Woodstock, but when I chirp, it's very charming. I like treats , climbing and sitting on my wooden perch. I'm bonded with my bestie Woodstock, so we'll have to be adopted together.

If you're interested in meeting me, email my foster parent at awaddell@humanerescuealliance.org!

Hi! I'm Woodstock! I'm a vocal bird who enjoys chirping and hanging out with my bestie Nigel. I'm a big fan of treats and looking at myself in my toy mirror. I'm bonded with my bestie Nigel, so we'll have to adopted together.
