Webinar topic: coaching skills for working with breastfeeding moms.
Breastfeeding
Happy World Breastfeeding Week and National Breastfeeding Month! Every year WIC celebrates and promotes breastfeeding throughout the entire month of August for National Breastfeeding Month and August 1-7 for World Breastfeeding Week (WBW).
Using the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action’s (WABA) 2020 theme of 'Supporting Breastfeeding for a Healthier Planet', the Colorado WIC Program helped develop focus points and materials to share with breastfeeding families. The focus points are healthy planet, healthy body, healthy mind, and healthy community and they reinforce the importance and impact of breastfeeding on mom, baby, family, and the environment.
Please view and share the materials found in the 2020 WBW Folder, including an Action Packet with ideas, related handouts, posters, and social media images and posts - all of which can be shared electronically with families!
