Sun sets on summer as we move into Autumn/Fall!
School is getting back into motion and summer is winding down.
While we're taking this month as a small breather, we're also hard at work planning the Fall phase of programs for the library!
In the meantime, plan to join us for our events this month, and go over a few of the changes going on around here!

Thursday, August 6, at 6:00 PM

Find some inspiration and tips for Autumn with a demonstration on how to construct and care for this versatile, seasonal decoration.
We’ll post a list of supplies you can buy/forage for.

Make sure to have questions and comments ready!

Time for a mini-break!

Another successful Summer Reading Club!

We made it! THANK YOU!
There was a combined total of 600+ registrants this year (500 for youth sign ups, and 100 for adult participation)!

When things needed to move towards virtual/digital, it was a heavy blow to us that we couldn’t have everyone in here for programs and events like we normally do during summer.
But, with some trial and success, we’re happy with the results and hope to incorporate what we’ve learned into future events!

Our patron participation is always a huge part of SRC’s success.
So thank you to everyone who signed up, interacted and participated, left comments/likes, shared pictures, registered daycares, and spread the word.

Thank you to our sponsors: past, present, and future. You are also a huge part of Summer Reading Club’s success.
Special shoutout to Buckner Longview, and Under the Pecan Tree Embroidery & Screen Printing!

Thank you to all our performers and program contributors. We’re happy you took the time to help entertain us, even when it couldn’t be in person!

And lastly, a huge round of applause for our library staff.
Everyone really stepped up their game and took the reins to help pivot us into the virtual world, and keep things running smoothly in house! Great job team.

We can’t wait to see everyone next summer.
Enjoy the remainder of any breaks, and getting ready for a new school year (we’re planning and prepping here too)!
We’ll see you soon for September!

The outside drop return bin has moved (not too far though)!

For staff safety, and patron convenience, the outside return drop has moved right across the way, right next to the building's back entrance.

Here’s some things to remember now:

A) Drop hours/operations will work the same going forward.

B) Traffic flow is reversed from what it normally was. Patrons will now drive around from the South St. side (or the right side of the building if you’re looking at it from the front) to access the drop from your car window.

C) Also, there is a new Curbside Pickup sign posted on the wall by the doors as you drive up.
It will have the number printed on there for you to call, and just follow the steps to complete your curbside pickup process!
