Adopt-A-Mile is a community litter pickup program featuring dedicated volunteers that adopt a mile of road in Blount County, City of Alcoa, or City of Maryville. Adopt-A-Mile is great for businesses, community groups, families, and neighborhoods. All supplies will be provided by KBB for each cleanup.

Beautify your community with a litter pick-up!
|
|
Spend some time outside and clean up your neighborhood, road, or a park! KBB will supply all supplies, including litter pickers, garbage bags, safety vests, and gloves.
If you, your family, neighborhood, community group, or business is interested in checking out supplies, fill out the form or contact keepblount@gmail.com to schedule a pickup time.

Volunteers spent a Saturday morning cleaning up Coulters Bridge in Walland! Twelve bags of trash were collected right on the waterfront.

KBB visited Porter Elementary Friends for an outdoor planting activity! We learned that steel cans can be both recycled and reused.

Keep Blount Beautiful Educational Programs
Keep Blount Beautiful provides complimentary education programs to Blount County schools, school programs, clubs, businesses, and other groups. The following programs are offered:
Landfill Tour:
Students and organizations are invited to take an interactive tour of the Alcoa/Maryville/Blount County Landfill.
EcoCenter Activities:
Visit the Keep Blount Beautiful EcoCenter at DENSO Manufacturing to participate in eco-learning activities and games.
Presentations:
Keep Blount Beautiful is able to visit your school or organization to provide educational programs on topics such as stormwater runoff, the 3 R's, and litter prevention.
School Campus Litter Pick-Ups:
Keep Blount Beautiful can visit your school with all the supplies necessary to do a litter pickup of the property! The litter pickup can be preceded by a litter presentation in the classroom.

Blount County Recycling Center
The Blount County Recycling Center is still in full operation for your waste disposal needs. The center takes household recycling and household hazardous waste. Please visit the resources tab at KeepBlountBeautiful.org for a full list of accepted items.
