It’s here! We are now accepting applications for ASPIRE, a learning experience for aspiring leaders.

What is ASPIRE? ASPIRE is a learning experience for aspiring leaders. It’s a four-month long blended learning experience starting in September and ending in December. The purpose of the program is to develop individual contributors, who do not currently manage others, exploring a leadership mindset. The learning experience is to help participants learn to lead from where they are.

Who can apply? Any full-time employee who is not in a supervisor role. Please note that applicants must be able to commit to all the dates listed in the program guide. Review the Application and Program Guide, to check the dates against your schedule to ensure your commitment before applying. Eligible participants should be in good standing in terms of performance with no disciplinary issues in the last six months.

What are the costs of the program? There are no costs for each accepted participant. However, because space is limited, departments will be charged $750 if a participant does not complete the program.

Will I need supervisor approval? Yes. Your supervisor will need to indicate that they agree to your commitment to participate and complete the entire learning experience. Additionally, if you are accepted to the program, your supervisor is required to attend the kick-off session on September 22, 2020. Check out the “Convince Your Managers” flyer that lists reasons to help them decide to agree to your participation.

What is the deadline for applying? The deadline is August 14, 2020, by 5 p.m. Review the Application and Program Guide, check the dates against your schedule and your supervisors. If all of that lines up, complete the applications in the Program Guide and submit via the instructions provided. We will notify participants by August 28.
