Looks like stress has been getting us... We apologize for the confusion!

"Love is when we are allowed to participate a bit more."
Clarice Lispector

Our Happy Hour Online this week will be in Portuguese and we will dedicate the entire event to the short story "The Egg and the Chicken", one of the works of Clarice Lispector that she liked best, and the only one that she did not understand very well. Prepare your drink, your snack, and join us!

*** This is a free online event.***

For those who can, please consider making a donation to support Group.BR and the artists involved.

The Zoom party D/BOA keeps evolving and getting better and it's now D/BOA - W/ONDERS! It continues with a great lineup featuring a variety of Brazilian rhythms and virtually connecting people while we need to be socially distant. It is a great party and also a fundraising platform to support people in need.
This week part of the raised funds goes to the Group .BR NY Brazilian Artists Fund. Come party and support Brazilian artists!

Group .BR New York Artists Fund will offer a one-time, first-come-first-served $250 donation to Brazilian artists in New York State impacted by COVID-19. It will also support Group .BR’s operations and online programming during social distance. We hope to help as many artists as possible. The more YOU give, the more WE give.

WAYS YOU CAN HELP

  • Donate. Every single dollar helps.
  • Share the campaign link with a short personal post about why this fundraising campaign is important.
  • Ask art supporters to donate.
  • Invite Brazilian artists in NY to apply.
  • Help us find donors, supporters, and artists in need.

Trashfest centers work that not only produces no waste, but reuses materials discarded as garbage. The festival consists of live-streamed performances, art installations, and community events throughout NYC. For years, The Tank has hosted DarkFest - a week of shows that do not use conventional theatrical lighting, reexamining how we can make theater more sustainable. This year, we challenge that idea further with TrashFest. More information HERE.

We support our black and POC friends, families, colleagues, donors, and everyone who has suffered from abhorrent racism that is sadly so prevalent throughout the country. We stand together in solidarity to say, Black Lives Matter. We are committed to your fight and will continue to strive for inclusion and representation.
