Supporting St. Bede's Financially
A special thanks to all of you who’ve kept up with your annual pledge to St. Bede’s even as we continue to shelter at home. Your gifts have enabled us to meet our payroll and overhead expenses, support our weekly Zoom Chapel services, and keep the essential work of the church going. If you normally donated via the Sunday plate, please consider a financial gift to St. Bede’s this summer to help continue our work. Contributions can be made securely on our website, or by mailing a check to the church office.
Get to Know Rev. Martha
In her role as our Interim Rector, Martha would love to get to know as many parishioners as possible – even if in-person meetings aren’t possible yet. Please call Martha at (650) 427-0719 or drop her a note at revmartha@stbedesmenlopark.org to set up a phone call or Zoom meeting.
Bede's Book Club: August Selection
For the August meeting on Wednesday, August 5, the selected book is Holy Envy: Finding God in the Faith of Others by Barbara Brown Taylor. The renowned and beloved New York Times bestselling author recounts her moving discoveries of finding the sacred in unexpected places while teaching the world’s religions to undergraduates in rural Georgia, revealing how God delights in confounding our expectations. The Book Club meets at 9:30 a.m. via Zoom; contact Laura Gable at lwgable@hotmail.com for a meeting invite.

A Prayer for This Week
Heavenly Father, as we come to the end of another month and begin a new one, we remember that you are with us in each transition. In this, and all our times of change, help us to feel your presence, and follow in your ways. We pray through him who changed from death to life, and taught us that transition brings hope, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
* Want to offer a prayer for our community? If you would like to contribute a "Prayer for This Week" please let Rev. Martha know at revmartha@stbedesmenlopark.org.
