New:  Posted last Digest, but still open:

What else is going on?

  • Next week, we're hosting the first in a series of small, virtual focus groups with selected experts in conservation technologies. These focus groups, along with our broader community survey, are part of a larger research effort by WILDLABS to capture the State of Conservation Technology, highlighting recent progress, key constraints, and critical opportunities for growth in the field. If you use or build conservation technology, we also want to hear about your experiences! If you haven't already, please take our survey and share the link with colleagues.

Featured Group: Sustainable Fishing Challenges

This group welcomes those in our marine conservation tech community to collaborate together on challenges related to sustainable fishing practices. Inspired by this thread focusing on minimising the impact of trawling gear on seafloor environments, the Sustainable Fishing Challenges group is a place to share resources, pose challenges, brainstorm creative solutions, and begin collaborative projects.

Dan Steadman is the Sustainable Fishing Challenges group manager. Get in touch with him if you have questions, suggestions, or ideas for new challenges within the group. Join here!
