Let's celebrate together our mangroves, our marine resources, the coastal communities protecting them and whom we have been supporting since 2007. Let's join hands to advance conservation by drawing inspiration from their commitment, through the stories compiled in this newsletter. Let's close July with a smile and the recently discovered Microcebus Jonahi. It joins the family of Madagascar's 113 species of endemic lemurs !
Welcome to the Microcebus jonahi, discovered after a decade of research in the Mananara Nord National Park. The Microcebus is one of the smallest lemurs in the world, and feeds on insects, leaves, fruits but also on flower nectar. Microcebus jonahi was named after Professor Jonah Ratsimbazafy, a Malagasy primatologist emeritus.
