Seeds of Hope

Food Collection

August 1-2

LOCC is collecting to benefit the Wildwood Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen. If you would like to contribute, bring any non-perishable food items to either campus when you come to services this coming weekend, August 1-2. Look for outdoor pick-up stations at Woodridge either at The Grove or in the east parking lot, and at Southern Oaks in the paved parking area in front of Grace Tabernacle.

And as always, monetary donations can be made online to Seeds of Hope via the LOCC website: liveoakschurch.org

Village-To-Village

LOCC’s New OCC

Shoebox Initiative

Invite your neighbors, clubs, friends, groups, and families to pack Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes full of gifts to be delivered to needy children around the world – from our villages to theirs – and thus spread great joy and the Good News of Christ. We will help you with instructions, guidance, and encouragement along the way. Shoeboxes and “How to Pack a Shoebox” brochures are available after each service. For more info, or if you want to coordinate your own “Village-to-Village” effort, contact Tom Stark at tstark1@ymail.com or 585.451.9164, or Dana Stark at dstark1@ymail.com or 585.766.8163.

Clothe-A-Kid

Says Thank You!

The LOCC family has contributed more than $4,000 to Clothe-A-Kid this year, partnering with Love INC (In the Name of Christ) to help kids in need shop for school clothes. Thanks to your generosity, 44+ deserving young people will have something to wear when they start their classes next month. Want to know more? Contact Kirk Carver at kirk@liveoakschurch.org or visit the Love INC website at loveincheartofflorida.org.

The Lord's Supper

This Coming Weekend!

We practice “open communion,” meaning that participants should be believers, but need not be members of the church. We practice a memorial view of the Lord’s Supper, meaning that the bread and cup are symbols that remind us of the sacrifice Jesus made when He died for our sins. You will receive your communion elements as you arrive for worship, but please wait to partake of the bread and cup so we can all do so together. FYI: The bread is not gluten-free.

NOTE: If you are viewing online, be sure to have your bread and cup ready ahead of time!
