Newsbank and Providence Journal
The Louttit Library's subscription to the Providence Journal is currently on hold. However, patrons with a Louttit Library card can view the Providence Journal--and other Rhode Island newspapers--for free through Newsbank. Newsbank can be accessed from the library computers or from home by clicking here. Please feel free to call the library for assistance or with any questions.
 
Sign Up for Ongoing Book Clubs
The elementary (grades 3-5) and middle school (grades 6-8) book clubs are continuing. Email Miss Stephanie to join and discuss great books with other kids virtually.
 
Show and Tell *Next Week*
Join us for a virtual show and tell. Share summer art projects, STEM projects, and good books with Miss Stephanie. All ages are welcome. Registration is required; contact Miss StephanieThe next program is on Wednesday, August 5 at 1 p.m. on Zoom.
Disney Trivia *Next Week*
Test your knowledge of all things Disney and bring the whole family! Registration required here. The program will be held on Zoom on Monday, August 3 at 2 p.m.
New Storywalk© Book
Louttit's storywalk© trail will be updated with a new book--The Mixed Up Chameleon--on Tuesday, August 4. Take a walk along the trail behind the library and read the picture book along the way! On the library front porch you’ll find a map to the trail and your storywalk© stops. You can also pick up a craft to go with the story! No registration required, simply stop by and take a stroll! We’ll change the storywalk© again soon so be sure to check back for a new story.
Summer Reading Program
Now through Saturday, August 22, Louttit participates in the statewide Summer Reading Program. There will be special prizes, programs, and incentives to keep readers engaged during the summer holiday. This year’s theme is Imagine Your Story; join the Library in exploring imagination through reading and our exciting virtual events.
