CURBSIDE PICKUP SERVICES EXTENDED!! 
Curbside Pickup Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday and Fridays -- 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday -- 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
**When you arrive at the Library, give us a call (603-664-9715) and let us know you are here. If you are unable to call, just give us a friendly beep or two so we can come out and get your name.

RETURNS
All returns must be placed in the outdoor drop box. PLEASE NOTE: ITEMS WILL NOT BE CHECKED IN UNTIL THEY HAVE GONE THROUGH THE QUARANTINE PROCESS. Do not be alarmed if you see items on your card after you've returned them as items are quarantined for 72 hours. You may ignore any notices you receive from our automated overdue system.


CONTACT INFORMATION & PERMISSIONS
Has your contact information changed (cell phone number, wireless carrier, email address, etc.)? If so, please give us a call to update your account! Also, as a friendly reminder that per state privacy laws,the name(s) of who is allowed to pick up items on your behalf must be given prior to coming to pickup items at the Library. Just give us a call and we will add this information to your account. Thank you! 

 
THERE'S ONLY TWO WEEKS LEFT OF THE 2020 SUMMER READING PROGRAM! 

Be sure to log your books for a chance to win a weekly prize. Those who complete at least the minimum number of books for their age range will have their name entered for the grand prize drawing! 

Don't forget there are also two weeks left of our virtual story times. Registration is required and a Zoom link will be sent to you!

Multi-aged Programming
FOIL LETTER ART
August 4th 

Participants will receive a Take & Make Kit that includes the materials and instructions needed to complete two styles of Foil Art. The projects will vary in style, design and intricacy, and they all look fabulous! Enjoy a pre-started project along with completing your own from beginning to end! Great for all ages!

CHALK-A-LOT (A parking lot, that is!) 

August 5th 10 a.m.

"Imagine Your Story" as chalk drawings! Participants are invited to draw a scene from a fairy tale, a favorite book, or let your imagination go wild and create your own scene. Anyone may register for their own circle picture frame in the ECLC parking lot next door to the Library. Participants will have from 10 a.m. -11 a.m. to create their design. At 11:00 sharp we will hold an art stroll to admire everyone's chalk drawings (remember social distancing). Artists will receive a goody bag of CHOC-O-LATE for participating in this event.

MOVABLE ORIGAMI
August 7th 

Participants will receive materials, written instructions and a link to a video to show how to make this fun, movable origami face! Measure, fold, tape and draw to make faces that roll around and around! You can make it look like emoji faces, animal faces, or any design you like!  Registration is required and you will be notified when to pick up your Take & Make Kit!

DRAGON WATERCOLOR CLASS
August 12th 1 p.m. (Live)


Middle school through adult participants will follow along during a live Zoom session with Lauren Despins to create a dragon Watercolor Painting Class - MS & HS students and Adultssilhouette using watercolors. A kit will be provided and will need to be picked up at the Library prior to noon on August 12th.  An email with the Zoom link will be sent to participants starting the week prior to the workshop.

Registration is required. Kits are limited. 

LIVE SHADOW PUPPET WORKSHOP
with Matt Sandbank 

August 26th 3 p.m.

The Library is offering this virtual meeting with Matt Sandbank through Zoom to learn how to make your own jointed shadow puppet. Registration is required. Matt Sandbank shadow puppetYou will receive an email with the Zoom link and will be able to pick up the puppet making kit so you are ready to go! 

Don't forget you can always watch the prerecorded workshops by registering for the Monday entry on our calendar.

CARDBOARD DRAGON CHOMPER
August 11th 


Cardboard Dragon Chomper ActivityMake this movable dragon chomper out of cardboard and brass brads! Kits with all supplies will be provided along with printed and videotaped instructions. Once you register you can pick up your kits beginning August 6th.

VIRTUAL CHAIR YOGA
with Cindy Simon
August 25th 2 p.m.


Join Cindy Simon  for this seated Yoga and creative movement class. You  will learn stretches, yoga positions, tai chi exercises, and deep breathing while seated in a chair or standing (with a chair for support if needed). This class is great for people of all abilities, anyone wanting to get back in shape, and anyone with physical limitations, or any sort of chronic health issues. This class will meet the 4th Tuesday of August and September. Registration is required for each session and the Zoom link for this class will be sent after registering. This event is for ages 18 and older.
 
VIRTUAL BROWN BAG BOOK CLUB

Be Prepared For Voting This Fall

Voting season is fast approaching and there are 2 opportunities for Barrington residents to cast their votes- the State Primary Election on September 8th and the NH State General Election on November 3rd. Please visit the Barrington Town Clerk's website for more information! 

Barrington Trails Weekend Walkabout 
A Shady Stroll in the Barrington Town Forest
Sat, Aug 8th | 9:30 | Swains Road

Denis Beaulieu will be leading a hike of approximately two miles in the shady Barrington Town Forest on Saturday, August 8th at 9:30AM. The parking is located on Swains Road off Rt 202/Rt 9. The road will turn to gravel and the parking area will be on your right.

Please bring some water, insect protection and a mask to start the hike. We will social distance and remove the masks as we spread out on the trail. We will be reviewing some of the boundary marking done recently on this land. Please leave the dog at home for this hike.
