Dear <<First Name>>,

It has been a unique summer, and with the COVID pandemic constantly evolving, we have been busy making plans as well.

Due to the current spike in cases, LAA will be offering students both an in-person, on-campus education as well as a virtual education option. We will begin classes on our original start date of Wednesday, August 12. We know that everyone's needs are different and as always, the safety and well-being of our staff and students are our highest priority.

We will be publishing full details regarding the Virtual Education option next week, but primarily, you should know that it will be different than last spring. Students will be expected to attend live Zoom meetings of their respective classroom during school hours and thus will have much more constant live instruction and connection with their teachers. Like last spring, each teacher will also be utilizing a learning management system (a.k.a. SeeSaw or Google Classroom) to assign and receive classwork from our virtual education students. Our intention is for our virtual students to be equally as engaged and involved as our in-person students.

We are praying for our entire LAA family and cannot wait to start this school year. We thank you in advance for your patience and support as we work through this unusual semester.

Blessings,

David Matthews, Principal
Traci Oms, Board Chair
