This week's focus

In our message this week, Simon starts our next 4-week series Good Different (Living as a Christian in a non Christian World) unpacking chapters 5-8 of Paul's first letter to the church in Corinth (1 Corinthians).
Life Group Bible Studies
prepared by Graham Buxton

Thanks to Graham for these Life Group Bible Studies - there's an introduction and then short and helpful studies with questions for this whole 4-week series. Copies available at church this weekend or click the image or link to download.

Sunday morning worship

10.00am Sunday 9 Aug

We are so excited to be back gathering together in person! We know there are some for whom returning to worship raises some questions. We'd encourage you to watch the below video to hear about how these valid concerns are being addressed.

Huge thanks to all those who have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that everything is in place from a safety and logistical perspective.

Children's & Family Ministry Update

As we re-gather for worship, there are several changes relating to Childrenโ€™s and Family Ministry and we wanted to let you know of these.

Please read this letter and info sheet (emailed to all families last weekend) for an update on:
  • Returning to gathered worship
  • Family ministry โ€“ a renewed focus on connection
  • Changes to seating
  • Changes to LPC, Kindy Kids and KBG
  • A renewed focus on team training
  • Online Marriage Course (see below)
  • Safe Church (incl COVID-19 specific info, cleanliness & hygiene)

The Marriage Course online
** revised dates - starts Wed 19 Aug **

Have you ever wanted to do The Marriage Course but found it hard to find the time or a regular evening? Well, now's your chance!

David & Kate will be running the course online in Term 3 (and planning for our next in-person course in Term 1 2021).

7.45-9.45pm Wednesday evenings starting 19 August* in the comfort of your own home (or catch-up the session in your own time if this is difficult - we'll send you the link to the session)
This is such a great course (and yes, we're using the brand new re-filmed version), and a wonderful opportunity to invest in your relationship and learn more about each other in a fun and relaxed way.

You can find more about this course (incl. cost, how to book and a trailer) on our web/app page or on the event.

* Note that we've pushed the start date of this back a couple of weeks to ensure we have access to the new materials for the first week. Apologies for any inconvenience...

Mission Focus - Genesis

Genesis Pregnancy Support

This week's prayer point:
  • Praise that the school program is continuing this term and that students will be open to the information given to help them make good decisions for their future.
About usGenesis Pregnancy Support Inc began 29 years ago to assist women and families faced with an unplanned pregnancy and lack of support. Women who were suffering following an abortion were also offered support and care. Over the years Genesis has grown from a couple opening their home to a flourishing centre with over 60 volunteers. Services are still focused on serving women and families in crisis, offering counselling, material assistance, a very affordable baby-gear shop, live-in support in the eMbrace program, abortion recovery through the eMerge program and education for school students through the beREADY program.
