Issue 14

Hello <<First Name>>,

Is it already a week since the bank holiday?  The sun is shining and the forecast is good.  Wherever you are, at home or in a different space from normal, may you enjoy the warmth of these days, and continue to discover the treasures within yourselves and those who we spend time with.

Stay safe, travel safely, keep your face-covering with you and come back re-energised! It will be an interesting Autumn!

Keep in touch with us, check your email for updates each weekend! Tell others about this e-letter and encourage others to sign up here so they too can be connected.

Weekend Liturgy

19th Sunday in Ordinary Time

“Do not be afraid” is one of those expressions which goes straight to the heart. Which of us has not sometimes been afraid?
Jesus’ command not to fear combines two things: firstly, it is a recognition that yes, sometimes we are afraid; secondly, it proclaims that in the community of faith, with Jesus, God-with-us, our companion on the way, we ought really to be free from deep fear, because “all shall be well.”
Let us hear again the words, “Courage! It is I! Do not be afraid.”

(adapted from a reflection on the Gospel by Fr. Kieran O’Mahony OSA www.tarsus.ie)

Tune in to the webcam before 11:30am Mass to hear the welcome.
The Scripture readings are available daily and for Sunday.
Take time to check out our resource: Breaking Open the Word in Prayer
HELP US TO HELP YOU!

As we gather for Mass again, please see the notes below which will help make it a positive and prayerful encounter for all in attendance. Further details here.

The Glenstal Sunday Missal
As we no longer will have Missalettes at Sunday Masses, we are inviting parishioners to purchase The Glenstal Sunday Missal.

There will be a supply of these available after each Mass from this Saturday 8th August in St. Anthony's Church, Kilcoole and in The Holy Rosary Church, Greystones.

A Guide to Using the Missal will take place following some Masses on this weekend.

The price is €10 per copy.
Your Welcome Support for the Parish and Diocese

A sincere thank you to everyone who has donated and continues to support the Pastoral Area during this difficult time. When donating, we would encourage you to make online donations, as a preferred contactless option.

Details on how to contribute online are available on the Greystones and Kilquade websites.

There is an envelope system in place at the weekend masses. However, donating online is the preferred option if you have that facility.
As always, we are grateful for all donations and contributions received. Thank you.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available each Saturday between 3.30pm and 4.30pm by appointment in St. Kilian’s Church in Greystones parish and St. Patrick’s Church in Kilquade parish.
The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Mass will be celebrated in
The Holy Rosary Church Greystones at 10am on next Saturday 15th of August.
Reserve a space at it or participate via our webcam
Usual guidelines exist for attending this Mass.
During August, we will be taking a break from reciting the Rosary live at 12 noon on weekdays from The Holy Rosary Church, Greystones.
Thank you to all those who have come to the Church and led this live for us each day.
