Monterey Cohousing Community - expansion talks continue

Currently the only built cohousing community in the Twin Cities, Monterey Cohousing is responding to recent interest by more people to join their community by moving toward an expansion that will add a number of newly constructed housing units.

Members and prospective members are deeply involved in this process. There is room for another household or two, and now would be a great time to get involved so that your preferences are considered.

Located in St Louis Park, Monterey hosts occasional virtual & social-distanced information sessions. Reach them via the contact form on their website, Facebook, or call and talk to a real person at 952-479-0660.

TCCN Board statement on confronting white supremacy

We, the board of Twin Cities Cohousing Network, have been meeting to talk about and process what the killing of George Floyd and the world-wide anger and opportunity for global change means to us and to Twin Cities Cohousing Network. We want to listen, respond, and be part of the solution.

The mission of TCCN is to conduct education, outreach and engagement with individuals, families and organizations in order to advance the development of high quality, sustainable cohousing communities in the Greater Twin Cities area.

We recognize that this mission has been primarily accessible to middle-class white people, and needs to be reconsidered and become accessible to all.

As a start, we--as individuals and as a board--are committed to educating ourselves about racism and white supremacy. Here are some resources that we have looked at lately.

With gratitude and hope,
