Καλό Δεκαπενταύγουστο! Blessed 15 days of August!

On August 15th, Orthodox Christians celebrate the greatest feast of the Theotokos, her Κοίμησiς, or Dormition. We prepare for this great feast with prayer, fasting, and additional services in which we pray to her for her prayers and intercession.

Please join us virtually to pray the Small Paraklesis, or service of supplication, to the Theotokos, as well as the prescribed Divine Services for the season, beginning this evening with the Great Vespers for Sunday at 6:00 pm.

Please fill out the form via the button below with the names of your family, friends, and loved ones, for their health and sanctification, to be prayed at the Small Paraklesis during the 15 days of August:

Outdoor Services to Begin August 6th

We invite you to join us and pray the Divine Services outdoors in the Plateia beginning Thursday, August 6th, the Feast of the Transfiguration of our Lord.
To take advantage of the cooler temperatures, Orthros will begin at 8:00 am, followed by the Divine Liturgy.  Chairs will set up with social distancing in mind.  Please bring sunscreen and feel free to wear a hat.

Please join us outside for the following Divine Services:

  • August 6th | Transfiguration of our Lord
  • August 9th | Divine Services for Sunday
  • August 15th | Dormition of the Theotokos
  • August 16th | Divine Services for Sunday

All services will continue to be live-streamed.  The evening Great Vespers and Small Paraklesis services will continue to be live-streamed only.

Father James invites you to join him virtually following services on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday the first 15 days of August, beginning Monday, August 3rd. We still start at 7:00 pm and cover one chapter of Ephesians each night (there are six chapters). Allowing for questions and discussion, the sessions should last no more than 45 minutes.
