Painting with a 2 inch brush

Sunday in the Studio

They say do what you love and you'll never work a day again.  They also say, work for yourself and you'll end up working every day.  I say my boss never gives me a day off.

I live in the high desert, and the elements are hard on your body and your house.  Today I was out painting the woodwork on the more exposed parts before all the paint had peeled off.  I should be doing this every year - I'm not that efficient.

Yesterday I was distracted from my house painting by a big order of custom frames arriving.  Today I used a different 2 inch brush and varnished these paintings to be ready for their frames.

The sun was going down as I put them in their frames but I couldn't resist taking some photos of them and sharing them - they look great!
