In this devotional, Sam and Olivia explore what it means to be deeply rooted in God's Word and why it is so important to devote ourselves to pursuing Him
The Foodbank has seen a dramatic rise in need over the last 5 months. We have been giving out over 750 parcels of food each month, which for the last while has been via delivery and it has been great to work alongside different organisations across Cheltenham.

There has been an incredible response both in people giving donations and volunteering their time for which we are so grateful.

ONLINE MINISTRY

We had a great time again this Sunday, worshipping virtually together in another one of our live online services. Together, we spent time seeking God; exploring and declaring who He is.

Missed this week's service? Want to catch it again? Head over to our YouTube channel or Facebook Page (search for "Cheltenham Elim Church") or click the link below. Want to make sure you never miss another online service? Head over to our channel (link below), subscribe and hit the bell icon to be notified every time we upload a new video.

We stream a live online service every Sunday morning on YouTube and Facebook. You can interact with us during the service by leaving a comment but just know, that anything you post publicly could be seen by everyone. If you don’t want your comment to be broadcast or made public, you can send us a direct message on one of our other platforms.

If you've had searching questions, now could be just the right time to find some answers. We are hosting an online class to give anyone interested an opportunity to ask life's biggest questions.

From there, we will unpack a topic using video and conversation, whilst leaving loads of room for your own thoughts and questions. For those that sign up, we will email you a code and instructions to access the class via an app called Zoom. There is still plenty of opportunity to sign up and join us - click the sign up button below for more information.

This week, Brooke has come to read us another one of her favourite bedtime books "The One O'Clock Miracle"

AFTER CHURCH COMMUNITY COFFEE

Every other week. Next session: Sunday 9th August (after the service)

We recently launched our biweekly community coffee time via Zoom and we are pleased to see it growing each time we meet. This event takes place after the service on alternate Sundays and is open to members of the church, friends and families. It is a time where you can develop community from the comfort of your own home whilst having a cup of tea or coffee. These sessions take place on Zoom, using breakout rooms, to allow us to build relationship with each other in bigger and smaller groups.

Every other week, Sam will send out the Zoom access code via email to anyone who is a registered member of our congregation. If you want to be involved and are not on our member's list, then please do drop us a message via our Facebook page or contact Sam directly via email at limitless@cheltenhamelim.org

9:30AM PRE-SERVICE PRAYER MEETINGS

Every other week. Next Session: Sunday 16th August at 9:30am

Every other Sunday morning, Samuel Olaleye and Sandra Kemp invite us to join them in a short session of prayer together, as we prepare our hearts for our online services.

This is a precious time we spend together in order to pray. We seek God's plans for our church and call for the Holy Spirit to be with us as we venture into each of our days. We do this via a video messaging app called Zoom, so make sure you’re connected to join in.

On alternating weeks, Sam will send out the Zoom access code via email to anyone who is a registered member of our congregation. If you want to be involved and are not on our member's list, then please do drop us a message via our prayer page or contact Sam directly via email at limitless@cheltenhamelim.org

We will also be live streaming this meeting to our Facebook community group. If you would like to join the group, head to https://www.facebook.com/groups/2069132983299913/ and send us a member request.

WELCOME TO CHELTENHAM ELIM CHURCH

During lockdown, church life has started to look a little bit different. We may not be able to meet together in person but we are still gathering virtually as a community - and not just on a Sunday! Here's a glimpse at what church life looks like for us right now...

Midweek Groups

Here at Cheltenham Elim, we have many opportunities for you to grow and get involved in the life of the church.

Here is a list of some of the mid-week groups you can get involved with and who to contact if you are interested in joining or finding out more. In this current season, we won't be meeting in person, but will still have care, and groups available through an online avenue called Zoom (download the app & contact the person listed so you can connect). REMINDER:

You may be in a position where you can help us. If you are not, we seek not to put any burden on you whatsoever. We do therefore have three ways you can help us:

1. Pray with us. Absolutely nothing will be as impactful as prayer in this season. Let us never lose sight of the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
2. Serve with us. You may be fit and healthy; in which case, in order to open more, we need more hands to help serve people in need. this could be through delivering to those in isolation, or helping us help those who are able to come to our site.
3. Give financially. We want to make sure our ministry and our foodbank work increases. This means we still need resourcing coming in. Would you consider giving via a standing order? If you don’t giftaid to us, please can we ask you to giftaid to us also. If you normally give by cash, can we ask you to put a cheque to us in the post instead?

We are indebted to all who already give and serve. From the bottom of our hearts, we say thank you for giving sacrificial, generously & consistently.
