J&C's Pitt and Play
New Arcade Opens in Windsor

It's all fun and games at J & C’s Pitt and Play in Windsor. This new gaming spot opened in July with arcade games, pool tables, air hockey, cornhole, food and much more. Owner Jonathan Sutton’s kids, Jonathan, Jr., and Cheyenne, are the J & C in J & C’s Pitt and Play. He did this for his kids and the community to give them something to do. “I felt that opening this business would give our kids a safe and fun place to come and enjoy,” said Sutton, who also enjoys cooking and being able to share good food with everyone. You pay the games to play (50 cents or $1.00 per game). The snack bar sells a variety of items priced between 50 cents and $2.00 and also does different promotions. The business also has a private room that can be reserved for birthday parties.

J&C’s Pitt and Play is located at 11339 Windsor Blvd. in the Primerica building and is open Monday-Friday, Noon to 10:00 p.m., Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sundays, at call. The Christmas Store of Smithfield Wins Retailer of the Year Award

The Christmas Store of Smithfield was named Gift Shop Retailer of the Year for the Peninsula Division of Retail Alliance. The Christmas Store was founded in 1994 by Jim and Elaine Abicht as a hobby stemming from their many years of collecting antique Christmas items. Through travels about the country and meeting other collectors, who themselves had year-round Christmas Stores, Jim & Elaine decided to open their own store when the opportunity arose. They started out small in just 600 square-feet and expanded to their current location of 5,500 square-feet in 2001. In addition to Christmas ornaments, decorations, gifts and collectibles, the store carries items for every major holiday.

The Retailer of the Year Awards honor Retail Alliance members that have demonstrated the very best in product quality, customer service, community involvement and reputation.
