Susan Wild was elected to Congress in 2018 to represent Pennsylvania's 7th District in the Lehigh Valley. Defeating an incumbent Republican with 53% of the vote, Susan made jobs, healthcare, and education her priorities. Her district will be a battleground again in 2020, and keeping Democratic control of the U.S. House depends on defending districts like this.
Come along, send some texts, and make some calls with us! No experience required - just a phone and a computer. We'll join together on a Zoom video conference and give you all the training you need to get started.

We’ve paired with MomsRising and Postcards to Swing States to participate in a Get-Out-The-Vote effort for the 2020 election! Write to registered voters/moms who haven't always voted on Election Day in the past. You’ll be sent pre-addressed and pre-stamped postcards for FREE.

Note: they’re asking you to sign up for a minimum of 200 postcards, but in the drop down box, you can specify a different quantity (in multiples of 20), and they will send you state-specific postcards with addresses. You supply the stamps which you can order at USPS.com.

HELP THE NYC 2020 CENSUS FIELD TEAM!
Sign up below to help ensure our communities get the resources and representation they deserve!
- Phonebanks every day of the week – Using their predictive dialer tool, you’ll call NY neighborhoods with the lowest self-response rates, encourage them to fill out the census, and patch them directly to the U.S. Census Bureau so they can fill out the census via phone. Find the full sign-up schedule here. They’ll set you up with everything you need to successfully “call out the count!”
- Friends and Family Outreach – See their toolkit, which includes resources to help you organize your outreach and messaging to help frame your conversations. Sign up here, and find all resources to participate here.
- Digital Organizing – Join one of their group chats (here) to receive and share census information, social media graphics, and suggested posts in various languages.
- Food and Poster Distribution – Sign up here to assist New Yorkers in completing the census at food distribution sites, and sign up here to ask local business owners to place census posters in storefronts, bodegas, etc.

As of July 21, 53% of New Yorkers have responded to the census … we have less than a month to go before the Census Bureau’s door-knockers hit the streets of the five boroughs, so we need every New Yorker to self-respond right now.

Ms. Whitaker is a political strategist and active community leader. She is involved with the Participatory Budgeting Project, is a County Committee Member, Vice Treasurer & Event Director for the Manhattan County Democratic Party, and a NYS Delegate for the Democratic National Convention. The former Executive Director of Emerge and Former Women’s Vote Director for the State of New York under the leadership of Governor Andrew Cuomo. Ms. Whitaker holds degrees in Psychology, Marketing and Journalism. She serves on the Board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the International Special Events Society and Meeting Planners International, and the Alumnae Board of Convent of the Sacred Heart School where she founded the school’s first Minority Financial Aid Endowment Fund to increase diversity in the Upper School.
