Renewal #33

It's okay to go slow
Hello friends,

After a long and enjoyable break, I’m back, at last, to the newsletter, the blog and social media. As I said in my previous issue of the newsletter, I just needed to get away for a few weeks, so that I could reflect on what I really want. But now (as expected), I’m all fired up to create content and share what I learn with you.

When you are ambitious and like to set goals for yourself, it’s easy to feel bad. Bad for not working all the time, for not going fast enough, for taking breaks. Then, for the sake of hustling, we neglect what’s important to us: our family, our friends, our mental health.

Whenever it happens to me, whenever I feel slow, late or as if I’m not making any progress, there are a few things that I try to remind myself of:
  1. You work (or study) to live, you don’t live to work: time is precious and I would rather be a little happy in every instant than regret having wasted precious moments with those I love. Just take the time and enjoy it.
  2. Follow your intuitions: Don’t rely solely on your rational brain, follow your intuitions, your guts. In this world some things just don’t always have to be logical. Listen to yourself. Then, you will realize that what you need and look for might as well be looking for you too.
  3. You’re not slow: it’s easy to compare yourself with those who are already successful, thinking that you’ll just never be enough. But remember that each of us has its own rhythm and talents. There will always be people ahead of you, and people behind you.
And as Gandalf himself says…

See you next week! 👋🏾

PS: Oh, and one more thing: as I’ll experiment in the next few weeks and months, you might notice some changes in the format of the newsletter and the frequency of posts.
— What I learned this week
Here's what I've been loving this week:
📱 One app I'm loving : Feedly • As an RSS reader, I love using Feedly to stay current with the news magazines and the new posts from my favorite blogs and YT.
📖  One book I'm loving : L'énigme de la chambre 622 by Joël Dicker. Probably the book I'm reading the fastest this year.
💡 One idea I'm pondering : Listen to your heart, your intuitions and let it be your compass. The brain might get wrong but with this one you will never get lost.
— What I created for you this week
Slowly making my way back to creating content but, beware of the avalanche of content coming your way 😌
