Secretary General's Message

Dear Colleagues

I bring you greetings from the Association of African Universities (AAU) Secretariat.
 
I am pleased to share with you, information on some online webinars, capacity building opportunities and virtual conferences that are being organized by the AAU during the months of August and September 2020.
 
The AAU webinar on Building the Quality Culture through the African Quality Rating Mechanism (AQRM) Institutional Assessment and Evaluation for Self -Improvement will take place tomorrow on August 4, 2020 REGISTER HERE

The AAU has partnered with Coursera to host a Webinar targeted at highlighting how  Coursera can support e-learning strategies of African Universities. This webinar will take place on August 5, 2020 REGISTER HERE

The AAU will host a Webinar on Strategies for Communicating during a Pandemic. This webinar is for Communication and Public Relations Officers from African Universities, as well as  stakeholders  who are interested in communicating strategically during this period. It will take place on August 12, 2020 REGISTER HERE 

A webinar on the “Lessons from the Lupane State University Moodle Virtual Training Pilot” will take place on 14 August 2020 10am GMT REGISTER HERE. Through this pilot training the AAU has learned valuable lessons and would like to share these lessons with African Universities, Development Partners, E-learning enthusiasts and general stakeholders. AAU is keen to deliver similar training at scale, efficiently and effectively for hundreds of African Universities that need the training.

The AAU will host a webinar on “Optimizing Websites of African Universities for Effective Communication, Visibility and Marketing” on August 19, 2020 REGISTER HERE 

The AAU will host a Webinar featuring a conversation with ICT/IT Directors from African Universities on August 21, 2020 REGISTER HERE

The 1st International Online Pharmaceutical and Medical Conference as a response to COVID-19 is being organised by the Faculty of Pharmacy (girls), Al-Azhar University, Egypt, in collaboration with the AAU North Africa Regional & the Egypt Knowledge Bank. The date is  September 1-3, 2020 READ MORE

The AAU in collaboration with the African Union and the Government of Ghana, is inviting all educational stakeholders to the first Virtual AAU-Academic Diaspora Homecoming conference on September 28 - 30, 2020 READ MORE
