The Siblings Australia 2020 photo competition is now open!  We are calling all amateur or professional photographers who can portray a snapshot of a sibling with their brother and/or sister with a disability. Photographic entries should celebrate your story and character. Winners will receive a high-resolution framed copy of the photo and the chance to have your photo featured prominently in the Siblings Australia new office!

This competition is open to all ages and all siblings with a brother or sister with a disability! We hope to have a range of ages. You don’t have to be a professional photographer, but make sure you take good, high-resolution shots.

The Brief:

We are looking for original, meaningful and high-quality photographs that illustrate siblings of brothers and sisters with a disability. The images can feature individuals or small groups, children, young people, and adults who are siblings. The photos must feature the child/adult  with a disability as well.

Photos can be new or existing and must be suitable for publishing on our website, in our reports and event listings, and on our social media channels.

Please note that each entry must be supported by a Photo Comp Entry Form – 2020 (PDF) statement explaining how the image/s fit the brief.

Submissions are open and will close by 21st August 2020. Winners receive a framed copy of their photo.

The best 5 photos, across different age groups, will be selected and displayed in the Siblings Australia foyer as well as used on our website.

Photographic Competition Rules:

• All entries must be high resolution digital files in JPEG or PNG format submitted electronically. Hi-res images are at least 300 pixels per inch.

• There is no limit to how many photos one person can enter into the competition.
• Winners will be announced via email on the 24th August 2020.
• Permission will be asked for reproduction.

How to Enter:

To enter your photos, please email them to andrea@siblingsaustralia.org.au.  Please ensure your image is uploaded with the entry form (click button below) so that we can identify you and give the entrant the opportunity to enter details about the photo.
