New share offer - last chance to earn a 5% return on BHESCo shares

BHESCo are looking to raise £225,000 for two new community energy projects in Sussex. This is the final tranche of shares being offered at rate of 5% interest. Once all 22,500 shares have been purchased (or by the time of our AGM on 24 September 2020, whichever is sooner) this opportunity will close.

We'll be installing an 87kW ground source heat pump and underfloor heating system at the Montessori Place School in Uckfield, building on the successful solar power and heating project we delivered there in 2016 (photo above).

Over in Lewes town centre we're working alongside our long-term partners the Werks Group to re-purpose an abandoned building into a creative space for offices and co-working. We'll be minimising the environmental impact of the building with energy saving measures and an air source heat pump.

We hope you will take advantage of this exciting offer which we encourage you to share with your friends and family.

Green Homes Grants
Earlier this month the Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, announced a £3bn finance package to encourage the uptake of energy efficiency measures across the UK. Homeowners can access grants of £5,000 to improve the energy efficiency of their properties.
It's hoped that this will create jobs, reduce fuel costs and help the UK build towards its net zero carbon target. Further details of the scheme are to be announced in September. Read more >>>
BLOG: Why the UK's 2050 Net Zero carbon emissions target is inviting climate catastrophe
One of Theresa May’s last actions as Prime Minister was to commit the UK to a target of net zero carbon emissions by 2050. Whilst this marks progress in the UK’s efforts to tackle the climate crisis, we believe that 2050 is much too late to avoid crossing tipping points and runaway global heating. Our latest blog makes the case for a 2030 target and explains how we can get there. Read blog >>>
