We are happy to announce the launch of the Water and Energy for Food portal on energypedia, developed by the GIZ’s Water and Energy for Food Program. This portal is a revamped version of the Powering Agriculture portal on energypedia.
Agriculture accounts for up to 30% of the global energy consumption and up to 70% of the world's freshwater resources. Browse through the portal to get up-to-date information on climate-friendly agricultural practices as well as innovative practices and technologies for saving water and energy while increasing agricultural yields. Since 2013, the Energising Development (EnDev) partnership is piloting results-based financing (RBF) approaches to enhance energy access markets with funding provided by UK’s Department for International Development (DFID).
