WORDS FROM DR. MAZZOLA ON OUR SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Mentoring is an important part of what I do as a pediatric neurological surgeon. I believe that we each have a responsibility to teach and share what we have learned through the years, with our younger colleagues. Many high school and college students have no idea what life is like as a neurosurgeon. They wonder IF this is something that they can do. Many young men and women wonder if they can have a “normal” family life and be a neurosurgeon. The answer is YES!

I started the NJPNI summer internship program in 2007 and we have “graduated” many interns. Some are now practicing neurosurgeons! I am SO proud of all of my mentees!

If you have a pre-med college student who is interested in the summer internship for 2021, please let us know!

Once Again, We Wish Everyone a Happy
 & Safe Summer 2020!
