Summer Nursery Hours M-F 10-4, Sat 9-1

Do your pots need rehab because of the summer heat?

This summer's intense heat and limited rainfall have meant we are dragging around hoses twice a day to keep our containers hydrated (except for our succulent containers that have been happy as can be).

Above is a client's vintage terra cotta bowl we potted up with Echeveria 'Black  Prince', plus Sedum adolphii and mackinoi 'Ogon'. These babies will thrive until frost, and then they can come indoors for the winter.
Yes, our succulent selections are still in very good supply...come visit!

Vitex agnus-castus 'Shoals Creek'

Why plant Buddleia when you can grow Vitex?  Mid summer blue-lavender fragrant spires begin in July and carry on through August on bushy plants with attractive palmate foliage. Here in the northeast, our colder winters don’t allow plants to become as large (10-15′) as the data says, since they  do get some  winter die back.  Vitex blooms on new growth, so it can be cut back hard each spring to grow into a perfectly sized 5-6′ flowering shrub.  And yes,  it is a great addition to a pollinator garden as it is a favorite of butterflies and bees.  more info to read...
We have some lovely blooming 2 gallon plants for nursery pickup ($35)

We're hiring!
